Community Guidelines

Effective Date: June 28, 2026Last Updated: June 28, 2026

This document is provided as a draft legal document and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. It is tailored to VESILL's operations but does not constitute legal advice.

VESILL is a community built on trust, ambition, and mutual respect. These guidelines define the standards we expect from every member. They exist to keep the community a place where people want to show up—not a place they have to tolerate. Membership is a privilege, not a right, and continued participation depends on upholding these standards. By joining VESILL, you agree to uphold these standards in every interaction, both online and at events.

Respect

Treat every member with dignity and consideration, regardless of their background, experience level, or goals. Disagreements are natural; disrespect is not. Challenge ideas, not people.

Respect extends to how you communicate—both in person and in event threads. Be thoughtful with your words, listen when others speak, and assume good intent unless given reason not to.

Inclusivity

VESILL welcomes members from every industry, background, and walk of life. We are a community that runs together and builds together. Discrimination, exclusionary behavior, or any attempt to make a member feel unwelcome has no place here.

If you see someone standing alone at an event, introduce yourself. If someone is new, make room for them. The strength of this community comes from the diversity of the people in it.

Professional Networking

VESILL is a space for genuine professional connection. Bring your ambitions, share what you are building, and be open to helping others. The best connections in this community come from authenticity, not transaction.

Be clear about what you are looking for and what you can offer. Follow through on commitments. A community is built on reciprocity—what you put in is what you get out.

No Harassment

Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes unwanted advances, persistent messaging after being asked to stop, intimidating behavior, and any conduct that makes another member feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Harassment is not limited to in-person interactions. Unwanted messages, comments, or behavior in event threads and digital spaces are equally unacceptable. If you are told that your attention is unwanted, respect that boundary immediately and completely.

No Discrimination or Hate Speech

We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other protected characteristic.

Hate speech—defined as language that demeans, dehumanizes, or promotes violence against any group or individual—is grounds for immediate removal from the community. There is no version of VESILL where this is acceptable.

No Unwanted Solicitation or Spam

VESILL is a community, not a marketplace. Do not send unsolicited sales pitches, promotional messages, or mass communications to members who have not expressed interest. Do not use event threads or community spaces to advertise products or services.

Sharing what you do is encouraged. Pitching what you sell without context or consent is not. If you are unsure whether a message crosses the line, it probably does.

Spamming—repeatedly posting the same content, flooding threads, or sending identical messages to multiple members—is prohibited and may result in message privileges being revoked.

Respect Member Privacy

Member profiles, contact information, and personal details shared within VESILL are intended for community use only. Do not export, scrape, copy, or share member information outside the platform without consent.

What a member shares with you in conversation or in a message is theirs to share, not yours to broadcast. Respect confidences and do not share private information about other members.

Event Etiquette

Arrive on time and honor your RSVP. If your plans change, cancel as early as possible so another member can take your spot. Repeated no-shows affect the experience for everyone and may limit your access to future events.

Be present. Engage with the people around you. VESILL events are designed for connection—put your phone away, participate fully, and contribute to the energy of the room.

Follow all instructions from VESILL staff and event organizers. They are there to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely for everyone.

Photography Etiquette

VESILL events are photographed and recorded for promotional purposes. However, not every member wants to be photographed, and that preference should be respected.

If you take photos or videos at an event, be mindful of who is in the frame. If someone asks not to be photographed, honor that request. Do not photograph members in vulnerable or unflattering moments.

Do not post photos of other members on social media or external platforms without their consent. Group photos taken in a public event setting are generally acceptable, but use judgment and respect individual preferences.

Safety Expectations

The safety of our members is a shared responsibility. If you see something that feels unsafe—a situation, a person, or a condition at an event—say something to VESILL staff immediately.

Do not engage in behavior that endangers yourself or others, including reckless running, aggressive conduct, or bringing prohibited items to events. Follow all safety instructions provided by event organizers.

If you feel unsafe at any point, remove yourself from the situation and contact VESILL staff. Your safety comes first, always.

Reporting Members

If you experience or witness behavior that violates these guidelines, report it to VESILL. You can report through the platform, by contacting event staff, or by emailing us directly.

When you report, provide as much detail as possible—what happened, who was involved, and when and where it occurred. All reports are treated seriously and handled with discretion. Retaliation against anyone who reports a violation in good faith is itself a violation of these guidelines.

False or malicious reports undermine the integrity of the community and may result in consequences for the reporter.

Moderator Decisions

VESILL moderators and administrators are responsible for enforcing these guidelines. Their decisions—including content removal, message moderation, and account actions—are made to protect the community and are final.

Moderators exercise judgment based on the context and severity of each situation. Not every violation will result in the same consequence, and we reserve the right to act as we see fit to maintain the integrity of the community.

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal by contacting us. Appeals are reviewed, but outcomes are not guaranteed.

Consequences for Violations

Violations of these guidelines may result in a range of consequences, depending on the nature and severity of the violation:

  • Warning. A formal notice for minor or first-time violations, with an opportunity to correct the behavior.
  • Content Removal. Messages, posts, or content that violate the guidelines may be hidden or deleted.
  • Privilege Restriction. Messaging, event registration, or community features may be temporarily suspended.
  • Temporary Suspension. Account access may be suspended for a defined period while the violation is reviewed or the member is given time to reflect.
  • Permanent Removal. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from the community.

We do not publish a rigid schedule of consequences because context matters. A single serious violation can result in immediate permanent removal, while a pattern of minor issues may escalate over time.

Permanent Removal Policy

Permanent removal from VESILL is reserved for the most serious violations or for members who demonstrate an unwillingness to uphold community standards after prior warnings.

Grounds for permanent removal include, but are not limited to: harassment, hate speech, physical or sexual misconduct, fraud or deception, repeated solicitation or spam, misuse of member data, and any conduct that endangers the safety or integrity of the community.

Upon permanent removal, your account will be terminated, your profile and associated data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and you will not be permitted to rejoin the community. Permanent removal is, by design, permanent.
